Bundesamt für Cybersicherheit (BACS)

The Bundesamt für Cybersicherheit (BACS) is Switzerland's federal cybersecurity authority, established on 1 January 2024 when the former National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) was elevated to a full federal office under the Federal Department of Finance. It administers the ISG incident-reporting regime, operates the Cyber Security Hub portal, coordinates critical-infrastructure protection, and represents Switzerland in international cybersecurity bodies.
