EUIPO
The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) is the EU agency based in Alicante, Spain (est. 1994) responsible for registering EU trade marks and Community designs valid across all 27 member states, and hosting the European Observatory on IP Rights infringements. Its Board of Appeal decisions are the principal first-level review forum for EU trade mark disputes and are routinely cited in M&A trade mark due diligence and clearance opinions.
