FINMA (Eidgenössische Finanzmarktaufsicht) is Switzerland's independent financial-markets supervisory authority, established in 2009, responsible for supervising banks, insurance companies, exchanges, securities dealers, and collective investment schemes and for enforcing Swiss financial market law including licence withdrawals and Berufsverbote against responsible individuals.
