Les Éditions Albert René

Les Éditions Albert René is a French comic-book publisher founded in 1979 and since 2011 wholly owned by Hachette/Lagardère, holding all intellectual property rights in the Asterix and Obelix universe including international licensing. It is directly relevant to EU trade mark litigation because it is the registered proprietor of the well-known Obelix mark at the centre of the T-24/25 ruling on Article 8(5) reputation protection.
